Chris Hopewell is no ordinary director…

He managed punk and hardcore bands in Europe and the USA during the 80’s, founded iconic fanzines Bugs & Drugs and Skate Muties from the Fifth Dimension, was a graphic artist with magazines such as The Face, ID, Select, and the NME, wrote for Mark Lamarr’s radio show, wrote and produced an animated sketch show for the Spitting Image company, run a pirate radio station, the list goes on.

As a director Chris has worked on many pop promos with major international labels including Sony, Island, and Warner and with bands including The Killers, Scissor Sisters, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, Goldfrapp and the Zutons. In 2003, Chris won the MTV award for best art direction on Radiohead’s ‘There, there’ a video that also picked up video of the year at the NME awards.

After some time concentrating on other creative endeavours, Chris returned to making music videos in 2016 with Radiohead’s ‘Burn the Witch’, and has since directed videos for the likes of Run the Jewels and Father John Misty.

We’re very much looking forward to seeing what Chris comes up with next.
