Black Dog Productions on UKMVA Shortlist

The UKMVA nominations are in and Black Dog Films are in the running for six awards including best new director.

The 10th annual ceremony, which takes place at the Roundhouse London and is presented by Adam Buxton, celebrates the breadth of creativity in music video and live film-making from across the globe.

The Black Dog nominations are as follows…

Best New Director – Thomas James  

Best Alternative Video – alt J-  In Cold Blood. Directed by Casper Balslev.

Best Live Concert – Rammstein Paris. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund.

Best Animation in Video & Best Rock/Indie Video (International) – Father John Misty – Things It Would Have Been Helpful to Know Before the Revolution. Directed by Chris Hopewell.

Best Urban Video – Mura Masa –Love$ick. Directed by Yoni Lappin.

Best Animation in Video – Katie Melua – Perfect World. Directed by Karni & Saul.

The UK Music Video Awards editorial director, David Knight, says  “It’s been a remarkable year for music videos in many ways and the nominations at this year’s UK Music Video Awards prove it. Music videos are so important as a medium of expression for music artists now that we’re seeing the conventional idea of the music video being tested and stretched by some of the world’s most popular artists.”
