Irish rap star Rejjie Snow has unveiled the video for his acclaimed new track Flexin (feat. Ebenezer).
The video was shot in Snow’s hometown of Dublin by director Jamie Delaney, who has previously shot videos for Rejjie’s early tracks Snow and Lost In Empathy.
Of the video the young rapper said “we were inspired by the infamous Dublin joyriding craze of the early noughties, so we just tried to capture that.” Flexin sees Rejjie tearing around Dublin in a stolen car, a juxtaposition to the glamour of US hip hop videos, very much an ode to the underbelly of Rejjie’s home town.
Flexin follows the unflinching Crooked Cops as the latest taste of Snow’s eagerly anticipated debut album Dear Annie, due for release later this year. Both Flexin and Crooked Cops were produced by the Grammy award winning Rahki (Kendrick Lamar, Syd the Kid, Eminem), who is executive producing the LP.
