Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend” directed by Ben Mor is nominated for Best Music Video in the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Coldplay’s colorful music video celebrating the vibrancy of Indian culture “Hymn for the Weekend” has been nominated in the “Best Music Video” category in the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The video is one of twelve videos nominated in first-ever Best Music video category whose winner will be determined by fan’s votes. In addition to Best Music Video, fan voting will also determine this year’s Best Lyrics, Best Collaboration, Best Cover Song, Best Song from a Movie, Best Fan Army, Social Star Award and Best Underground Alternative Band awards.
“Hymn for the Weekend” was named the fourth most watched videos of 2016, receiving over 644 million views on Youtube along with huge social buzz. The video was filmed on location in Mumbai, India and features Beyonce as a Bollywood star.
This year’s star-studded iHeartRadio Music Awards will be televised live on TBS, TNT and truTV at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and simulcast on iHeartMedia stations nationwide, as well as on iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital music and live streaming radio service.
