The Times called Betsy “an incandescent new talent”, with The Fader describing her music as “songs that lay everything bare”.
Confessional and cathartic, new track Wanted More from Welsh singer Betsy is an anthem for the wronged party in a relationship, effortlessly pairing soulful brass and soaring vocals with more electronic, euphoric dance influences.
The video from Ben Charles Edwards sees Betsy stick it to her caravan-dwelling Mexican wrestler boyfriend. Interestingly, after deciding to pursue music and ditching a promising Paris-based career in fashion Betsy returned to her family in Wales where she lived in a caravan in her brother’s garden, honing her garage band skills. You can see the caravan in the Wanted More artwork. Nothing if not determined, we think Betsy will do alright.
Wanted More is out now on Warner.
