Margot Bowman is an artist and designer working across moving image, new media, fashion, creative direction and illustration. For her most recent collaboration she teamed up with the James Bowthorpe and Glenn Kitson led creative collective The Rig Out to makee a special Chuck Hack film, documenting the unique Kuduro music scene in Lisbon, Portugal.
By adding sensors to dancers’ iconic Chuck Taylors as they performed to Kuduro legend DJ NK’s tracks, they mapped the movement of creative energy. “Feedback is a project about the feedback loop between creative ideas, technology and creative expression,” Margot said. “Through Feedback I want to bring to life this transfer of expression and creative energy by mapping the movement of creative energy across mediums.”
It’s a truly unique project, mixing the digital age with the classic Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. Check it out.
