We are excited to announce that Ridley Scott will be honored by the Hollywood Chamber with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.
In a release from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce it was announced that the legendary director would receive the 2546th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in a ceremony right in front of the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Blvd.
“We are proud to dedicate a star to one of Hollywood’s most prolific directors who is responsible for so many of Hollywood’s iconic films. Ridley Scott’s work will long be a part of our film history,” explains Leron Gubler, Hollywood Chamber President/CEO in the organization’s official press release.
Among Ridley’s many credits include the recent lauded blockbuster The Martian as well as classics like Blade Runner, Alien, Thelma & Louise and the Academy Award-winning epic Gladiator.
And of course in addition to his celebrated career in features, Ridley Scott started his career in film in 1969 when he co-created (with his brother Tony Scott) RSA as one of the first major commercial production companies in the UK. Now with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, as well as sister companies Scott Free and Black Dog Films, Ridley safely has his hands in exquisite content across commercials, film, television, music videos, branded content and beyond.
Congratulations to our founder, a well-deserved star indeed.
