Chino Moya is a director of beautifully stylized films, commercials and music videos and we’re thrilled to announce that he has signed with Black Dog UK!
Chino is well known for creating unique cinematic worlds and his detailed approach to set design, styling and casting has become a trademark of his work.
His surreal cult commercial for Drambuie Extraordinary Bar was a visual metaphor for the depth and complexity of the drink. “Digital Witness,” a futuristic music video for 2015 Grammy winner St. Vincent landed in Time magazine and was listed as one of the best videos of 2014 by both Rolling Stone and the Huffington Post, and his short film Out of Here was selected at over 40 festivals worldwide. Chino’s Invisible Man commercial for the Sci-Fi Channel won him a Bronze Pencil at the One Show, his Cycle Safety James Cracknell commercial saw him awarded a Silver Shark at Kinsale, and most recently he was awarded a Bronze Film Lion at Cannes 2015 for a commercial for the Thalidomide victims.
The “Love Revolution” music video he created for Will Young, which featured the singer as a self help guru in a bizarre technicolor world and the noir-ish music video set in the 1960s for synth pop act Hurts are impeccable examples of Chino’s latest work, and we cannot wait to see what’s next for the talented young director.
Get to know some of his work below, and stay tuned for more very soon!
