How many people earn awards on movies they haven’t even finished yet?
We’re guessing not many, but we do know that Ben Dickinson is one of them for his upcoming feature “Creative Control,” which is being described as a dark sci-fi comedy. Ben nabbed the In Progress Prize at the Paris-based event hosted by the Champs-Elysees Film Festival, where US independent films are introduced to pair with European distributors and agents.
According to Screen Daily, “Creative Control” centers on “an ambitious young ad executive working on a campaign for a new generation of augmented reality glasses. He loses his own hold on reality after he creates a life-like avatar of his fashion photographer best-friend’s girlfriend.”
It’s Ben’s second feature film, after First Winter which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. And of course, scores of amazing music videos including “Gettin’ Up” for Q-Tip and “North American Scum” for LCD Soundsystem.
