Did you catch the Grammys on Sunday? What you might not have known is that ahead of the prime-time telecast, it was announced that our very own Jonas Akerlund’s “Live Kisses” documentary took the coveted prize for Best Surround Sound Album. That comes with the Best Music Film prize day of. Oh yeah, Jonas won big.
“Live Kisses” follows the live performance of Paul McCartney’s “Kisses on the Bottom” record, a jazzy collection of songs and standards that influenced him as a young boy. In addition to the former Beatles’ soulful croonings, there are guest appearances by Diana Krall and her band, as well as The Eagles’ Joe Walsh. For more info on the album, check this out.
Congratulations Jonas! We are ever-so-proud.
