Since dropping in March, Diane Martel’s risqué clip for Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” has become the viral hit of the summer – with over 94 MILLION views (and steadily climbing) on Youtube.

Diane Martel talked to MTV News about both releases of the controversial video, saying that even though she knew the unrated version with Thicke, Pharell and T.I. playfully hamming it up with a bevy of nude models would cause a stir, she wouldn’t let anyone scrap the version.

She gives the news outlet the behind-the-scenes scoop, saying the “dirty” version was actually the original concept, “I wrote the idea as a nude video and refused to do the job when they said they didn’t want a nude version, that no one would see it.  A week went by and they begged me to do it and said I could do a nude version, if I also did them a favor and did a dressed version.”

The view count is proof that both the clothed and nude takes have been quite well-received. We can only hope the rumors of a Part II heading are way are true…
